BOSTON, MA, March 18, 2010 – The Corporate Executive Board (NASDAQ: EXBD) (CEB) and its recently acquired financial services research and advisory company, TowerGroup, announced today they will host their first 2010 TowerGroup/CEB Annual Financial Services Strategy & Technology Conference & Exhibition in the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel in Boston, Mass., from April 14 - 16.

Titled, “Rebuilding the Franchise: Technology and Tactics for a New Era in Financial Services,” the three-day executive conference will address how financial service companies can seize opportunities amid the changing industry landscape, focusing on new and restructured competition, regulatory transformation and a critical linkage between technology and business success across banking, insurance, and securities firms.

“Recovery does not produce restoration,” said Bruce Young, managing director at CEB. “The Great Recession will leave financial institutions faced with enduring changes that even leading institutions are only now beginning to recognize and address. This conference is focused on helping executives address these challenges and arm our members with insight and best-practice information to drive an effective decision-making process.”

Keynote addresses by executives from Deutsche Bank, Fidelity, and Wells Fargo, as well as specialized sessions from TowerGroup’s and CEB’s financial services and technology thought leaders, will discuss the impact of regulatory mandates on the technology initiatives of global financial services firms, the products and service offerings that institutional and retail clients will push financial institutions to add or enhance and the shift in technology strategies to ensure flexibility in the new decade.

“As we look to rebuild from the rubble left to us from the actions taken during the previous decade, we need to carefully consider what must be done differently to prevent history from repeating itself,” said Jim Eckenrode, research executive, Banking, TowerGroup. “Our conference is focused on how financial service companies can confront the paramount questions and roadblocks that emerged from the ruins to help ensure future long-term stability and profitability, not only for their firms but for the industry as a whole.”
